This coming Friday until Sunday during mall hours, Havaianas will once again set up shop at the lobby of the SM Northwing.

See you all there, Cebu!
Hip Young Cebu at PHAT THURSDAY two weekends ago was not a hiphop undulation but a series of fashion upheavals that gave way to Cebu’s newest designers.
Say hi to Mary Ty of Very Mary collections.

Mary started dabbling with designing clothes when she was still in highschool. “I started drawing on any notebook I could get my hands on - and they weren’t even mine!” she said. Mary finally catered to public viewing the time she launched Very Mary collections this year.

We will miss you, VUDU. Encore lasted till the Sunday morning, Sept 7. See you guys soon. Style sighting in progress, Cebu.

Thanks, Paolo Mañalac and Paul Gotiong.
With the advent of haute couture blossoming into Gossip Girl aficionados, we’d rather be wearing the latest oversized headband than be caught dead with last season’s skinnies. Only a true Cebuano could actually sow influence among the few. He will make us go back to our roots and cultivate it. Dexter Alazas brought us back to old style Cebu without even moving any step backward. Before ooh-aahing his newest collection, see Dexter Alazas’ Linea Sugbuana as captured by Joseph Ong.

“LINEA SUGBUANA is my new line,” explains Dexter. “…very Filpino inspired… tradition with a modern treatment… laser cut techniques… (all) done in a more contemporary way.”

Hello, Cebu! I have to apologize for the last posts because the server sometimes gets crazy and the draft folder has so many pending submissions – crazy to do all of them together.
Thank you for the past months and let us wish for the best on these upcoming months before welcoming another Sinulog fete next year. People have been very supportive of the site and sometimes it is hard to moderate comments when everyone wants to say something at the same time. For the record, this site may or may not be the authority for Cebu Style nor it claims to be one. The politics of dressing up has always been very liberal, free of inhibitions, open-minded and fun. If you think you could get better lifestyle source elsewhere, by all means, we are not stopping you; but, then again, thank you very much for your continued patronage. For style-worthy news that you wanted to flash, please email info@stylecebu.com and we will definitely get back to you. Direct comments from valid email addresses, too, so that we can correspond and follow up. We don’t charge for placing your press releases here unless you have online ads that you wanted placed on the site itself to be a daily, weekly or monthly banner - then, that is a different thing.
Again, we feature every street, glam and even ghetto style we can catch sight of – definitely not from grandma’s friends, of course.
Relax, let’s have fun. As Dexter Alazas would say, “Let’s keep Cebu in style.”
Opening the vinyl ropes for September and embracing the –ber months is key because fall season happens to elevate from Spring and Summer trends. Watch out, you may be the next Go See in the future.*wink*
Who else could dress to the nines in this outfit?

Jo wore a Philip Rodriguez ensemble for his Masquerade Party slash Law Night at San Carlos. The USC Law Night is an annual big thing in the school where everyone practically scrambles to the atelier to make certain they will outdo one another – or that is just our Mr. Zagado here, one of the few stylish people I know. Good choice, love.
The local Odeon called Philip Rodriguez’s atelier can be contacted through his stores, FLIPPO, located at Ayala Center 1F and SM Northwing 2F. Contact 0917546482 for customized couture.
Held last August 30, Vudu’s last Transition Party for the month housed DJ Marc Naval from Natural Born Klubbers! See Inah Sagun in boots - perfect for Fall getup.

Ins, where’s your cap?

Cebu’s own Jun Escario will be part of FASHION WATCH 2008 next Tuesday, September 9 at the lobby of Makati Shangrila.

Inviting everyone to go see Philippine’s very own top designers - not to mention, INNO SOTTO - together with NOKIA Phils.
