Are You The One?

I have been looking for the perfect mascara and yes, I know it sounds so lame but it’s been a very tiring search. Looking for mascara is not the same as finding the perfect pair of shoes nor comparable to seeking for the perfect man. Men are not shoes and I have to digress on that silly cliché. If someone tells you that finding the perfect man is like finding the perfect pair of shoes, then she doesn’t know where to shop. Men, therefore, are human beings who should be taken care of and loved just like everyone one and not pass off an merchandise ready to be disposed when its no longer useful. (Oh, wait. That sounds sexy?)

So I searched and I labored and went thru different testers just to make the final decision. The perfect mascara should:

a. be contact lens safe

b. give VOLUME.

c. Have a thin brush with a comb

d. Doesn’t flake or smudge

e. No longer require a second coat

So far, the best candidates are:

L’oreal -Revlon Volumizing -Body Shop Super Volume

The past tubes that I have that worked well were Lancomè’s High Definition Mascara, Lauren Hutton’s Good Stuff and Maybelline’s Lash Extending Mascara. The mascara that won:

Faceshop’s Volumizing Mascara in black for everyday use. THE FACE SHOP is located at Ayala Center, new wing, ground floor.

Maybelline’s Turbo Volumizer for special events

A Mascara with detailed application from deep within the lash base is dependent on its brush and Faceshop’s wand is IT. Thanks to Maybelline, too, with just one coat, you’ll end up looking like you had on a pair of falsies.

Disclaimer: none of them are made out of bat’s shit.

So, sigh. I’m ready to settle down.
